Abstract

– Developing the use of organic waste to improve agricultural production has brought a new function to agriculture. At the same time, the farmer has had to integrate the environmental concern in his practice. Moreover, the question arises of the consequences when this project, associating agriculture with the city waste management, meets its public. Many constraints slow down the massive diffusion of using this material: its nature, its availability, its accessibility; badly controlled urbanization, the effects of seasonal variation such as resistance to changes, medical risks… In this context, what conditions must be fullfilled, so that perish-urban agriculture can effectively contribute to integrating this environmental challenge?
