Abstract

This brief contribution focuses on the potential of innovative, derisking-focused interventions to partially answer to the call for a more diverse and efficient global food systems financing architecture. It makes the case for a differentiated approach based on differing risk characteristics of recipient countries, and provides a differentiated taxonomy of existing and pioneered innovative solutions that can provide for setting such a global agenda and launch a call for action to bring this framework into action in a coordinated, upscaled way.
