The Use Of The Online Resources And The Online Subscription Management At The Hse Library

Abstract

The work is based on the experience of the HSE Library. It considers main stages of the development of the online subscription in a university library, incl.: the selection of online resources, the analysis of the demand in the ordered d-bases, the online information collection management. It is illustrated by the detailed presentation of the methods of assessment of informational and finance effectiveness of an online subscription, the projects of designing a unified catalogue of online resources and integration of the data related to online and printed collections, and the perspectives of the use of the OpenURL technology by libraries.
