Joint Degree programmes and their effective implementation areas in the integration processes of Higher Education

Abstract

Joint degree programmes, that recently have become a significant phenomenon of universities performance in many countries, undoubtedly enriched Higher Education System in Russia. The article proposes a typology of joint degree programmes (JDP) as well as the analysis of their application in managerial problem solving. This analysis ensures better understanding of certain structure change processes that are underway in higher education institutions. As an instrument of university programme integration, JDP is likely to be not only an essential addition to institutional change processes but in many cases, their alternative.
