The income structures of the leading world and Russian universities: the comparative analysis on the open sources of information

Abstract

The income structures of the leading world and Russian universities are considered in the article. The universities endowment funds state-of-the-art and prospects of their influence on the Russian universities' income structure are characterized. Based on the comparative analysis, the weak information transparency of the Russian universities financial data and a disproportionate share of privately financed tuition fees are revealed. The negative influence of these factors on the oldest Russian universities admission structure and their inconsistency to modernization demands.
