UMMC Corporate University - a new model of strategic business and education partnership in the region

Abstract

The article offers a new form of corporate university based upon the strategic partnership of Ural Mining&Metallurgical Company, Ural Federal University and other leading educational institutions of the Russian Federation. The UMMC Corporate University is strategically aimed at the forming an integrated system of continuous vocational education of the personnel. Among the key goals of the Corporate University we see the preparation of occupational standards, creation of the personnel audit and assessment system, implementation of the knowledge management system, set up of an effective system of development of human resources. Job-specific Bachelor's Programmes and process-oriented Master's Programmes will be developed on the principles of the public-private alliance with Ural Federal University along with the priority business spheres of the Group. The treasure of the University will be a strong infrastructure of the practice and research laboratories for the Master's programme and joint observations and explorations.
