Assessment of scientific productivity of the universities: institutional approach

Abstract

The work purpose - the analysis of scientific productivity of universities based on methodology of the institutional economic theory. Novelty of work is that the author's technique of a quantitative efficiency assessment of scientific productivity for universities is developed, in difference from known, allowing them to reveal the problems of institutional ensuring scientific activity. During research system, logical and economic analysis methods were applied, when processing empirical information methods of the statistical analysis, correlation analysis were used. As a result of research institutions for scientific productivity of university were identified, criteria of efficiency of these institutions are offered. Universities of Ural federal district were grouped in parameters of quality of institutions of scientific productivity (including to existence of effective institutions, institutional traps, institutional dysfunctions).
