Tarifbindung in Deutschland: Ergebnisse der Verdienststrukturerhebung

Abstract

Die Verdienststrukturerhebung des Statistischen Bundesamtes erlaubt eine differenziertere Auskunft über den Stand der Tarifabdeckung in Deutschland als dies bisherige Datenquellen taten. Während gesamtwirtschaftlich betrachtet im Jahr 2010 55 % der Arbeitnehmer und Arbeitnehmer in tarifgebundenen Betrieben tätig waren, sind erhebliche Unterschiede zwischen den Bundesländern festzustellen. Solche regionalen Unterschiede finden sich auch innerhalb einzelner Branchen wieder. In der chemischen Industrie variiert die Tarifbindung beispielsweise von 29 % in Sachsen-Anhalt bis zu 88 % in Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland. Große Diskrepanzen zeigen sich auch in Abhängigkeit vom Einkommen und weiteren Beschäftigtenmerkmalen: Die geringste Tarifbindung weisen Beschäftigte im untersten Einkommensquintil mit 31 % auf, die höchste in den beiden obersten Quintilen mit 63 %.
