Eine Befragung von Gastronomiebetrieben zur Einführung von Rauchverboten: Deskriptive Ergebnisse

Abstract

Die Diskrepanz zwischen deutschlandspezifischer Erwartung und empirischen Ergebnissen für andere Länder macht eine eingehende empirische Untersuchung der Effekte der Nichtraucherschutzgesetze in den deutschen Bundesländern zu einem interessanten wissenschaftlichen Forschungsgegenstand. Insbesondere stellt sich die Frage, ob Rauchen wirklich zu einem 'echten' Kneipenbesuch dazugehört und Raucher deshalb Gaststätten seltener besuchen werden. Ferner ist zu beantworten, ob die negativen Effekte auf die Gastwirtschaften lediglich 'gefühlt' oder 'real' sind? Um diese Fragen zu beantworten, wurde im Juni 2008 eine schriftliche Befragung bei Gastronomiebetrieben in Deutschland durchgeführt. In diesem Beitrag werden zentrale Ergebnisse dieser Befragung deskriptiv dargestellt.
