Evidencia socioeconómica del abandono escolar en Europa
[Socioeconomic evidence of early school leaving in Europe]

Abstract

Este trabajo realiza un análisis dividido en dos partes sobre el abandono escolar en el período de 1999 a 2017 para los cinco países europeos más poblados: Alemania, Reino Unido, Francia, Italia y España. En la primera parte se estudian relaciones entre diversas características sociológicas y personales, y la decisión de abandonar la educación de forma prematura. En la segunda parte, se estudian las implicaciones laborales de dicha decisión. Se encuentran resultados significativos, tanto para la relación entre las variables sociológicas y el abandono escolar, como para la del abandono con los indicadores laborales. Los resultados son acordes con la literatura existente.
