New approach to the study of technological capability in less developed countries

Abstract

Working paper proposing an economic analysis of technology capability in developing countries - attempts to quantify knowhow in terms of its potential for economic development; considers choice of technology, the informal sector, newly industrializing countries, the manufacturing and the agricultural sectors, etc.; conceptualises skill potential as enterprise level production capacity.
