Abstract

"Refugees, who in recent years have immigrated in particular from Syria or Iraq, for the most part receive welfare benefits after recognition of their refugee status in Germany. For various reasons, successful (labor market) integration is usually only possible with a delay. We examine how the labor market-relevant skills of the refugees develop, who succeeds in taking up employment and which factors are relevant for taking up employment."
