Abstract

Les auteurs étudient le choix du mode de gestion des services d'eau par les collectivités en France, ainsi que les conséquences de ce choix sur la procédure d'estimation des fonctions de demande domestique en eau. Ils montrent, sur un échantillon de communes de Gironde, que des caractéristiques observables ou non observables qui déterminent l'adoption par une commune du mode de gestion conditionnent également les niveaux de consommation des usagers domestiques, ce qui nécessite un traitement économétrique spécifique.
