Abstract

Le modèle néoclassique du ménage agricole, producteur et consommateur, fournit le cadre d'analyse des allocations du temps des membres du ménage, entre 1) le travail agricole sur l'exploitation, 2) le travail non agricole, sur ou hors de l'exploitation et 3) les activités domestiques et le loisir. Il permet également d'intégrer les décisions d'utilisation ou non de travail salarié sur l'exploitation. Il permet enfin de définir les fonctions d'offre de travail des membres du ménage et de demande de travail salarié. De façon très générale, le critère de participation d'un membre du ménage à une activité professionnelle non agricole et la détermination des allocations optimales de son temps sont établis sur la base de la valeur de son temps dans les différentes activités.
