Analyse de l'offre de travail des épouses des exploitants agricoles

Abstract

Le modèle du ménage agricole est utilisé pour déterminer simultanément les critères de participation du chef d'exploitation et de son épouse à une activité hors de l'exploitation, de la femme à un travail agricole et la condition d'utilisation du travail salarié sur l'exploitation. La forme réduite du modèle définit la fonction d'offre de travail hors de l'exploitation des deux membres du ménage, la spécification de chaque fonction étant conditionnelle au comportement du conjoint. Les choix de travail de la femme sont modélisés en utilisant deux produits dichotomiques appliqués sur un échantillon de 7032 ménages agricoles français. Les fonctions de salaire et d'offre de travail de l'exploitation sont ensuite estimées. Les facteurs explicatifs de la participation féminine à une activité agricole et à une activité hors de l'exploitation divergent.
