Abstract

Dans l'environnement concurrentiel de la distribution, aussi bien en magasin qu'en ligne, la performance des chaînes logistiques constitue aujourd'hui un enjeu crucial. Conscients de la nécessité de collaborations avec les distributeurs, les fournisseurs cherchent donc les moyens de l'améliorer sur l'ensemble du canal de distribution. Pour ce faire, ils hésitent de moins en moins à mutualiser, mettant en commun des ressources et faisant appel à des Prestataires de Services Logistiques (PSL). Après quelques expériences de mutualisation horizontale réussies en BtoB, force est de constater que la démarche se développe désormais en BtoC, en particulier lors de la livraison des internautes : face notamment aux difficultés que rencontrent les villes dans la gestion de leurs déplacements, la mutualisation peut, en effet, permettre de surmonter la difficulté des derniers kilomètres. L'objectif de ce chapitre se veut donc double : (1) identifier les freins à la mutualisation horizontale en BtoB ; (2) montrer que la mutualisation des flux, physiques et informationnels, peut améliorer la performance logistique du BtoC, notamment en ville, tant sur le plan écologique qu'économique.
