Mitbestimmung im Aufsichtsrat und ihre Wirkung auf die Unterenhmensführung: Eine empirische Analyse vor dem Hintergrund der Finanz- und Wirtschaftskrise

Abstract

Die vorliegende Studie untersucht die Rolle der unternehmerischen Mitbestimmung während der Finanz- und Wirtschaftskrise 2008/2009, indem sie Unternehmensperformance und -entscheidungen analysiert. Insgesamt zeigt sich die Unternehmensperformance mitbestimmter Unternehmen nicht nur während der Krise robuster als bei nicht-mitbestimmten Unternehmen, sie erholt sich auch schneller von den Auswirkungen. In engem Zusammenhang damit kommt bei den Unternehmensentscheidungen mitbestimmter Unternehmen eine langfristigere Orientierung zum Vorschein. Diese Ergebnisse sind wichtig für die Diskussion um die Rolle der Mitbestimmung.
