Mitbestimmung im europäischen Vergleich

Abstract

Deutschland hat im europäischen Vergleich die meisten Mitbestimmungsgesetze und die größte Anzahl unterschiedlicher Arbeitnehmervertretungsorgane. Nirgendwo sind die Mitwirkungs- und Mitbestimmungsrechte der Arbeitnehmer, der Betriebsräte und der Gewerkschaften so weitgehend geregelt wie hier zu Lande. Die überwiegende Mehrzahl der europäischen Länder hat im Gegensatz zu Deutschland weitaus höhere Schwellenwerte, die festlegen, ab wie vielen Beschäftigten eine Arbeitnehmervertretung gewählt werden kann. Auch bei der Unternehmensmitbestimmung nimmt Deutschland eine weltweit einzigartige Stellung ein. Kein Land kennt eine so umfassende Beteiligung der Arbeitnehmer und der Gewerkschaften in den Aufsichtsräten.
