Quale Marx? A partire da una rilettura di Marx e gli economisti classici di Pierangelo Garegnani (Which Marx? A discussion from a re-reading of Marx and the classical economists by Pierangelo Garegnani)

Abstract

In Marx e gli economisti classici (Garegnani, 1981, p. 113), Garegnani afferma: "una ripresa dell'impostazione teorica degli economisti classici non puo' […] avvenire se non partendo dal punto di sviluppo piu' alto che tale impostazione ha avuto nel passato: il punto a cui la troviamo in Marx". Scopo dell'articolo e' la discussione su "quale" Marx e' possibile riproporre in virtu' dell'interpretazione di Garegnani che ha come punto di partenza il nucleo analitico comune agli economisti classici: l'insieme di relazioni tra prezzi di produzione e variabili distributive analizzate in Produzione di merci a mezzo di merci di Sraffa. Evidenzieremo in particolare alcuni aspetti teorici che hanno il fine di costruire una filosofia materialista in grado di integrare efficacemente gli studi prettamente economici. Le riflessioni di Gramsci e quelle successive di Andrea Ginzburg sono fondamentali in tal senso ed e' possibile rintracciare una continuita' di pensiero tra gli autori che si discuteranno. In Marx and the Classical Economists (Garegnani 1981, p. 113), Garegnani states: "a revival of the Classical economists' theoretical approach cannot […] take place but starting from the highest point of development which such an approach received in the past: the point which was reached with Marx". The aim of the paper is to discuss some aspects of Marx's thought that can be deduced following Garegnani's interpretation and which have, as a starting point, the analytical core common to the classical economists: i.e., the relations between production prices and distributional variables analysed in Sraffa's Production of Commodity by Means of Commodities. Some theoretical aspects are highlighted with the aim of constructing a materialist philosophy that can integrate the abstract economic studies. For this purpose, we recall Gramsci's notes and Andrea Ginzburg's subsequent reflections and we try to trace a continuity of thoughts between the authors discussed.
