Satisfacción con la vida y condiciones de empleo en México

Abstract

Este trabajo examina las diferencias en satisfacción con la vida y sus distintos dominios entre los empleados en el mercado laboral mexicano. Encontramos que los subordinados formales de largo plazo tienen mayores niveles de satisfacción que otros tipos de empleo. Los autoempleados y empleadores están más satisfechos con el tiempo libre, pero no con otros dominios de satisfacción; mientras que los subordinados informales tienen desventajas en casi todos los dominios de satisfacción con respecto a los subordinados formales de largo plazo. La dicotomía formal/informal parece ser insuficiente para describir los niveles de satisfacción de los empleados subordinados ya que los subordinados formales de corto plazo tienen importantes desventajas con respecto a los formales de largo plazo.
