Abstract

•We measured the impacts of tourism specialization on economic resilience.•Overall service component-led specialization leads to greater economic resilience.•Positive mobility of service component-led specialization is significant.•Attraction complex-led specialization on economic resilience varies across counties.•Spatially heterogeneous impacts of tourism specialization were visualized.
