Abstract

Die Unternehmen in Deutschland haben ihre Innovationsausgaben im Jahr 2016 leicht erhöht und damit einen neuen Rekord aufgestellt. Insgesamt hat die deutsche Wirtschaft mit 158,8 Milliarden Euro zwei Prozent mehr als im Vorjahreszeitraum (2015: 157,4 Milliarden Euro) für Innovationsvorhaben ausgegeben und damit auch mehr als je zuvor. Auch in den Jahren 2017 und 2018 wollen die Unternehmen zum Teil weiter kräftig in Innovationen investieren. Sowohl die Großunternehmen wie auch die kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen (KMU) haben ihre Innovationsausgaben im Jahr 2016 erhöht. Zugleich ist der Anteil der Unternehmen in Deutschland, die Forschung und Entwicklung (FuE) durchgeführt haben, gesunken.
