Komparative und nicht-komparative Ansätze zur Analyse der Europäisierung der Sozialstrukturen

    In diesem Arbeitspapier wird der Frage nachgegangen, inwieweit Europa als neue Bezugsebene der Sozialstrukturanalyse zu verstehen und demzufolge zu analysieren sei. Dabei wird vor allem thematisiert, wie sich durch das Vorhandensein dieser dritten Steuerungsebene die förderalen und nationalstaatlichen Institutionen verändern. Die Gesamtheit aller Prozesse, die zu solchen Veränderungen führen, weil es die Bezugsebene Europa gibt, wird als „Europäisierung der Sozialstrukturen“ bezeichnet. Diskutiert wird u.a., ob nicht die deutsche Sozialstruktur durch die Existenz der Europäischen Union und durch den weiteren europäischen Integrationsprozeß bereits jetzt schon einem stärkeren europainduzierten Wandel unterliegt als in den bisherigen Sozialstrukturanalysen sichtbar wird.
