Abstract

Der Kolloquiumsvortrag „Gesellschaftsanalyse und Ideengeschichte“ beinhaltet auf der Grundlage des sozialwissenschaftlichen Arbeitsprogramms des Autors wissenschaftshistorische und wissenschaftspolitische Erfahrungen und Analysen zur Entwicklung der DDR-Soziologie. Im Mittelpunkt stehen ihre Entstehungsbedingungen, Leistungen und Defizite. An Hand ihres Antifaschismus und der Kritik bürgerlicher Gesellschaftstheorien werden prägende Ausgangspositionen benannt und am Beispiel historischer und aktueller Klassenanalysen Ansatzpunkte weiterführender Forschungen problematisiert. Im Anhang wird auf weitere Veröffentlichungen des Autors zu hier aufgeworfenen Problemen und Personen verwiesen. An drei Beispielen werden konkrete Aktivitäten aus den ersten Nachkriegsjahren (soziologische Lehrveranstaltungen an den Universitäten), im Prozess der Neu-Institutionalisierung der Soziologie (Vorschläge an die SEDParteiführung 1962) und aus der Endphase der DDR (Lehrprogramm zur Geschichte der Soziologie 1988/89) dokumentiert.
