Sozialbilanzen: Konzeptioneller Kern und diskursive Karriere einer zivilgesellschaftlichen Innovation

Abstract

Sozialbilanzen sind darauf ausgerichtet, die klassische Rechnungslegung und Berichterstattung eines Unternehmens so inhaltlich zu vertiefen und thematisch zu erweitern, dass transparent wird, wie und in welchem Umfang das Unternehmen seine soziale Verantwortung wahrnimmt. Ausgehend von einer kurzen Begriffsbestimmung der Sozialbilanzierung sowie einer zusammenfassenden Darstellung ihrer grundlegenden Ziele und Inhalte, werden in dem vorliegenden Beitrag sowohl typische Methoden und Modelle der Sozialbilanzen als auch zentrale konzeptionelle und methodische Probleme ihrer Erarbeitung und Darstellung diskutiert. Abschließend geben die AutorInnen einen Überblick über die bisherige wechselvolle Karriere der Sozialbilanzen und deren Ursachen sowie einen Ausblick auf die neuen und durchaus erfolgversprechenden Zukunftsperspektiven der Sozialbilanzierung.
