Gerechtigkeitsvorstellungen im Geschlechterverhältnis: Das Beispiel Elterngeld

Abstract

Mit der Beobachtung zunehmender Ungleichheit ist auch die Frage nach der sozialen Gerechtigkeit in die gesellschaftspolitische Diskussion zurückgekehrt. Ein Beispiel ist das neue Elterngeld. Hieran entzündete sich eine kontroverse Debatte, die die Auseinandersetzung um die Deutungsmacht über die angemessene Gerechtigkeitskonzeption im Geschlechterverhältnis im Kleinen widerspiegelt. In diesem Beitrag wird gezeigt, dass die Gerechtigkeitsansprüche und -vorstellungen in der Bevölkerung heterogener und komplexer sind, als dies die politischen Konfliktlinien vermuten lassen. Expert/inn/en plädieren daher für breitere gesellschaftliche Diskurse zur Neujustierung von Umverteilungsprinzipien und Gerechtigkeitsstandards, wenn es darum gehen soll, einen neuen, gesellschaftlich tragfähigen Kompromiss zu finden. Der Beitrag stützt sich auf Ergebnisse einer explorativen Studie zu divergierenden Gerechtigkeitsvorstellungen in der Gesellschaft auf der Grundlage von Dokumentenanalysen und Experteninterviews.
