Langlebige Produkte für eine zukunftsfähige Entwicklung: Eine ökonomische Analyse

Abstract

Dieser Beitrag sucht nach Argumenten für und gegen die Langlebigkeit von Produkten aus ökologischer und ökonomischer Sicht, um herauszufinden, wie das Konzept der Produktlanglebigkeit so umgesetzt werden könnte, daß existierende Nachteile minimiert und mögliche Vorteile maximiert werden. In Kapitel 2 wird zunächst die Forderung nach langlebigen Produkten von ökologischer Seite beleuchtet. Neben der Begründung für das Konzept der Produktlanglebigkeit werden Problembereiche erfaßt, die gegen langlebige Produkte sprechen. In Kapitel 3 werden daraufhin Erklärungsansätze für das Verhalten von wirtschaftlichen Akteuren in Bezug auf die Langlebigkeit von Produkten hergeleitet. In Kapitel 4 wird schließlich die Synthese zwischen den Ergebnissen des ökonomischen sowie des ökologischen Kapitels hergestellt. Es werden dort konkrete Lösungsansätze vorgeschlagen, mit deren Hilfe eine optimale Umsetzung des Konzeptes der Produktlanglebigkeit erfolgen kann.
