Öko-faire Preise im Welthandelsregime: Wasser - natürliche Ressource, Handelsware und Menschenrecht

Abstract

Preise für natürliche Ressourcen stehen im Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Ökologie und Fairness. So dient die Einführung und Erhöhung von Preisen auf der einen Seite dem Schutz der Umwelt, weil sie die Ressourcennachfrage verringern. Auf der anderen Seite drohen sie, arme Bevölkerungsgruppen von der Nutzung lebenswichtiger Güter wie Wasser auszuschließen. Mit diesem vermeintlichen Antagonismus beschäftigt sich dieses Paper und zeigt, wie Preise fair und sozial verträglich gestaltet werden können.
