Abstract

[Einleitung:] Als zu Beginn des Jahres 2020 das Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 zur globalen Pandemie erklärt wurde, traf diese Entwicklung die Menschen in Deutschland völlig unvorbereitet. Eine solche jede*n Einzelne*n betreffende Gefährdungslage durch ein neuartiges und potenziell tödliches Virus war der Politik wie auch der Bevölkerung unbekannt und beängstigend. In dieser Situation wurde zunächst über das Virus als Gleichmacher spekuliert, das jeden Menschen treffen könne (vgl. Spiegel 2020). Doch wiesen Sozialwissenschaftler* innen sehr früh auf eine unterschiedliche Gefährdung der Menschen hin, abhängig von ihrer Lebens- und Wohnsituation sowie ihren Tätigkeiten (Manderscheid 2020; Manemann 2020). In Reaktion auf diese neuartige Krise legte die VolkswagenStiftung im Frühjahr 2020 das kurzfristige Förderungsprogramm >Corona Crisis and Beyond 3 Perspectives for Science, Scholarship and Society
