Abstract

Am 29. Oktober 2019 fand im VN-Sicherheitsrat die jährliche offene Debatte über die VN-Agenda 1325 zu Frauen, Frieden und Sicherheit statt. Ziel der Agenda ist es unter anderem, Frauen an Friedens- und Sicherheitsmaßnahmen stärker zu beteiligen, ihre Rechte zu schützen und ihre Sichtweisen systematisch in die Bearbeitung von Konflikten einzubeziehen. Die Russische Föderation, ständiges Mitglied des Sicherheitsrats, hat sich als 1325-Skeptikerin erwiesen. Dabei ist sie in viele internationale Konflikte involviert; folglich gäbe es zahlreiche Anknüpfungspunkte, die Agenda umzusetzen. Deutschland stehen Möglichkeiten offen, die Implementierung in Russland zu unterstützen und so den geschlechtsspezifischen negativen Auswirkungen der Konflikte entgegenzuwirken, an denen der Kreml beteiligt ist.
