Ahmadinejad und der Führer: Der Rücktritt Ali Larijanis im inneriranischen Kräftespiel vor den Parlamentswahlen

Abstract

Am 20. Oktober 2007 trat der iranische Atomunterhändler und Sekretär des Obersten Nationalen Sicherheitsrats, Ali Larijani, zurück. Für ihn setzte Präsident Ahmadinejad mit Said Jalili einen seiner Gefolgsleute ein. Damit schien Ahmadinejads Einfluss in dem für politische Richtungsentscheidungen wichtigen Sicherheitsrat gestärkt zu sein, was eine weitere Verhärtung der iranischen Atompolitik befürchten ließ. Doch die Umbesetzung könnte auch als Schachzug des Revolutionsführers Khamenei, in Iran oft einfach »Führer« (rahbar) genannt, verstanden werden, um für den Fall eines Fehlschlags der Atompolitik einen Sündenbock zu haben. Die Frage, wie weit der Führer den Präsidenten unterstützt, ist weniger für Irans Atompolitik als für die Parlamentswahlen im März 2008 von Bedeutung. Bemerkenswerterweise nahmen Ahmadinejads Gegner den Austausch der Unterhändler zum Anlass, erstmals öffentlich deutliche Kritik an seiner Atompolitik und Leugnung des Holocausts zu äußern.
