Engagement für globale Gesundheit: Herausforderungen einer strategischen Neuausrichtung für Deutschland

Abstract

2015 verabschiedeten die Vereinten Nationen die Agenda 2030 zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung. Darin ist auch ein Gesundheitsziel enthalten: Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden für alle Menschen in jedem Alter und an allen Orten. In einer Welt, in der Menschen so mobil sind wie noch nie, in der Krankheitsrisiken und Gesundheitschancen ungleich verteilt sind und internationale Finanz- und Warenströme gesundheitliche Auswirkungen haben, können Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden nicht mehr nur auf nationaler Ebene und durch staatliche Akteure allein gesichert werden. Eine Reihe von Entwicklungen - nicht zuletzt die laufende Überarbeitung der deutschen Strategie zur globalen Gesundheit von 2013 - eröffnet Deutschland die Chance, sich strategisch neu auszurichten, die sich wandelnden Herausforderungen bei der Sicherung und Förderung nationaler wie globaler Gesundheit kohärent anzugehen und international sichtbar neue Prioritäten zu setzen.
