Machtwechsel in Warschau, Kurswechel in der Außenpolitik?

Abstract

Aus den Parlaments- und Präsidentschaftswahlen in Polen ging die traditionalistisch-patriotische Partei 'Recht und Gerechtigkeit' (PiS) als Sieger hervor. Sie stellt mit Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz den Chef der mittlerweile amtierenden Minderheitsregierung. Ende des Jahres wird eine der PiS-Führungsfiguren, Lech Kaczynski, Staatspräsident. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2001 hatte die PiS durch eine europaskeptische, nationale und deutschland-kritische Rhetorik aufhorchen lassen. Im Kontrast hierzu signalisiert die Regierung Marcinkiewicz den Partnern in der EU einstweilen Flexibilität und Kooperationsbereitschaft. Solange die neue politische Equipe in Warschau in ihrer Außen- und Europapolitik pragmatisch bleibt und sich innenpolitisch nicht formell mit radikalen Gruppierungen liiert, sollte Polen von seinen Partnern in der EU eingebunden und nicht ausgegrenzt werden.
