Spezialstreitkräfte der Bundeswehr: Politischer Handlungsbedarf

Abstract

Im Zuge der gegenwärtigen Debatte um den Einsatz der Bundeswehr in Afghanistan wird auch über die Rolle der Spezialstreitkräfte diskutiert. Kritisiert werden unter anderem die Intransparenz der Einsätze des Kommandos Spezialstreitkräfte (KSK) und die unzureichenden politischen Kontrollmöglichkeiten. Gleichwohl will die Bundesregierung die KSK weiterhin an der internationalen Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) beteiligen. Doch eine politische Debatte über die künftige Rolle von Spezialstreitkräften in der deutschen Sicherheits- und Verteidigungspolitik erscheint durchaus notwendig. Was ist das KSK? Wie wurden die Spezialstreitkräfte in den vergangenen fünf Jahren im Rahmen von OEF eingesetzt? Wo besteht für den Gesetzgeber Handlungsbedarf beim Einsatz von Spezialstreitkräften?
