Tunesien: Einmal mehr Vorreiter. Der Ausgang der Wahlen bietet gute Chancen für erfolgreiche Demokratisierung

Abstract

Der Wahlsieg der gemäßigt islamistischen Ennahdha hat die Chancen für eine erfolgreiche Demokratisierung Tunesiens nicht geschmälert. Im Gegenteil, die Ausgangssituation ist günstig, da Ennahdha Regierungsverantwortung übernehmen wird, aber nicht allein regieren kann. Die sich abzeichnende islamistisch-linke Koalition wird breite Akzeptanz in der Bevölkerung haben. Das ist auch nötig, denn die Wirtschaft muss angekurbelt, »alte« Mentalitäten und Praktiken im Staatsapparat müssen überwunden werden. Da schon in einem Jahr Parlamentswahlen stattfinden sollen, haben Ennahdha und ihre Koalitionspartner großes Interesse daran, bis dahin eine gute wirtschaftliche und politische Bilanz vorzuweisen. Europa sollte die Demokratisierung weiterhin mit Geld, Sachverstand und vertiefter Kooperation unterstützen - vor allem aber mit Vertrauen und Geduld
