Libanon: Das Abkommen von Doha. Ausweg aus der politischen Krise?

Abstract

Mit dem Abkommen, das die libanesischen Konfliktparteien in Doha unterzeichnet haben, und der Präsidentenwahl am 25. Mai 2008 ist die jüngste Krise im Libanon vorerst entschärft worden. Die vorausgegangenen bürgerkriegsähnlichen Auseinandersetzungen sind beendet. Hisbollah wird allgemein als Siegerin des Konflikts betrachtet, hat jedoch erklärt, dass sie die politischen Spielregeln des libanesischen Systems respektieren will. Vor dem Hintergrund der nun anstehenden Bildung einer nationalen Einheitsregierung, in der Hisbollah und ihre Verbündeten mit 11 von 30 Ministern vertreten sein werden, sollte sich die deutsche und europäische Politik aktiv um eine Zusammenarbeit und den Dialog mit der Partei und deren Einbindung in den demokratischen Prozess bemühen
