Die Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik Polens unter der Regierung Tusk: Eine erste Zwischenbilanz

Abstract

Als die neue polnische Regierung von Premierminister Donald Tusk im November 2007 ihr Amt antrat, setzte sie sich eine ehrgeizige außen- und verteidigungspolitische Agenda. Tusk kündigte an, er werde Polen zu einem verlässlichen, berechenbaren Partner in Europa machen und den Konfrontationskurs seines Vorgängers Jaroslaw Kaczynski korrigieren. Nicht nur Polens Ansehen in der EU soll gestärkt und eine selbstbewusstere Haltung gegenüber den USA ausgeprägt werden, die neue Regierung will auch die Modernisierung der polnischen Streitkräfte forcieren. Schon in den ersten Monaten ihrer Amtszeit ließ sich eine deutliche Änderung des Politikstils erkennen
