Der hohe Ölpreis und das Recycling der Petrodollars: Gefahr am Horizont für die internationalen Finanzmärkte?

Abstract

Dank hoher Ölpreise erzielte die OPEC in den letzten Jahren Rekordeinnahmen, von denen ein guter Teil auf den internationalen Finanzmärkten angelegt wird. In den siebziger Jahren, zu Zeiten der beiden Ölkrisen, bereitete das Recycling dieser Petrodollars dem internationalen Finanzmarkt handfeste Probleme. In der Folge kam es Anfang der achtziger Jahre zur ersten internationalen Schuldenkrise. Die aktuelle Höhe der Einnahmen der ölexportierenden Länder dürfte zur Zeit noch keine Gefahr für die Stabilität der internationalen Finanzmärkte darstellen, jedoch sind aufgrund der Reservenstruktur des Weltölmarktes dunkle Wolken am Horizont erkennbar.
