Abstract

Am 4. Oktober 2003 haben die Staats- und Regierungschefs und die Außenminister der insgesamt 25 jetzigen und künftigen Mitglieder der Europäischen Union, Kommissionspräsident Prodi sowie zwei Vertreter des Europäischen Parlaments die Regierungskonferenz zur Beratung des Entwurfs einer Europäischen Verfassung in Rom eröffnet. In knapp neun Wochen und nach voraussichtlich neun Gesprächsterminen soll bereits Mitte Dezember der Verfassungsvertrag verabschiedet werden. (SWP-aktuell / SWP)
