Regierungswechsel in London? Zukunftsfragen für die EU

Abstract

Die vermeintliche Instabilität der britischen Regierung und die euroskeptische Einstellung der oppositionellen Konservativen geben in vielen EU-Hauptstädten Anlass zur Sorge. Düstere Prognosen für die künftige britische Europapolitik entbehren aber der Grundlage - und könnten unter Umständen die britische Euroskepsis noch verstärken. Die europäischen Regierungen sollten daher an der bestehenden Kooperation mit London festhalten und versuchen, die aktuelle Debatte über die Neuausrichtung der Europapolitik innerhalb der konservativen Partei positiv zu nutzen
