Wiederbelebung des Weimarer Dreiecks im Zeichen atlantischer Differenzen und europäischer Zerrissenheit

Abstract

Der deutsch-französisch-polnische Gipfel am 10. Mai in Breslau, unter anderen Umständen wohl eine Routineveranstaltung, bekam vor dem Hintergrund atlantischer Dissonanzen und innereuropäischer Querelen einen anderen Charakter als erwartet. Die zentralen Exponenten des »europäischen« Europa trafen sich mit der neuen Siegermacht Polen, dem Exponenten des proamerikanischen Neueuropa, um Gemeinsamkeiten zu akzentuieren, Dialogbereitschaft zu demonstrieren und über Formen einer effektiveren Koordination nachzudenken. Ob durch die (Re-)Animation der bis dahin meist als zeremoniell wahrgenommenen Konstellation ein zusätzliches Dreigestirn an Europas politischem Firmament entsteht, ist aber noch offen.
