Die Brexit-Revolution: Neue politische Rahmenbedingungen verändern die Dynamik der Verhandlungen

Abstract

Nach dem erfolgten Austritt des Vereinigten Königreichs (VK) aus der Europäischen Union (EU) gehen die Brexit-Verhandlungen in die nächste, entscheidende Phase: In nur noch zehn Monaten Über­gangszeit gilt es, das zukünftige Verhältnis von EU und VK in Wirtschaft, innerer Sicherheit und Außenpolitik sowie einen institutio­nellen Gesamtrahmen auszuhandeln. Doch die Vorzeichen stehen auf Konfrontation. Oberste Maxime der innenpolitisch gestärkten britischen Regierung ist die absolute Abgrenzung von der EU, die Liste von Konfliktpunkten mit den Verhandlungszielen der Union ist lang. Gemeinsam müssen die Verhandlungsführer ein neues Modell der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Partnerschaft und Wett­bewerb finden.
