Serbien ohne Dindic: Der Fortbestand der Regierungskoalition DOS ist zweifelhaft

Abstract

Zum Nachfolger des ermordeten serbischen Ministerpräsidenten Zoran Đinđić ist am 18. März der bisherige Bundesinnenminister Zoran Živković (42) gewählt worden, ein enger Mitstreiter Đinđićs. Der neue Premier hat in seinen ersten Äußerungen vorgezogene Neuwahlen ausgeschlossen und die Absicht bekundet, bis zum nächsten regulären Wahltermin Ende 2004 die Regierung anzuführen. Er will den Ausnahmezustand, der nach dem Mordanschlag auf Đinđić am 12. März verhängt wurde, zumindest bis Ende April beibehalten. Allerdings erscheint fraglich, ob die Regierungskoalition DOS ihren Zusammenhalt bewahren und ob Živković die Durchsetzungskraft aufbringen kann, die nötig ist, um das Land aus der aktuellen Krise zu führen. Will der Westen einer weiteren Destabilisierung Serbiens und der Region vorbeugen, muß er Belgrad vor allem finanziell unter die Arme greifen. Gleichzeitig sollte er darauf drängen, daß die labilen demokratischen politischen Institutionen zügig gefestigt werden. (SWP-aktuell / SWP)
