Abstract

In der neuen Publikation der Stiftung Marktwirtschaft "Die Europäische Zentralbank auf Abwegen" warnt Autor Prof. Dr. Manfred J.M. Neumann vor den Gefahren der aktuell laxen Geldpolitik der Europäischen Zentralbank (EZB) und erinnert an das Verbot der Staatsfinanzierung. Das langjährige Mitglied im wissenschaftlichen Beirat der Stiftung, Kronberger Kreis, sieht mittelfristig ein gefährliches Inflationspotential, das die EZB durch den Ankauf von Staatsanleihen und die Gewährung von Jumbo-Krediten schafft: "Die europäische Geldpolitik darf nicht zur Finanzierung der nationalen Haushalte missbraucht werden". In seiner Analyse zeigt Neumann auf, welche Korrekturen die EZB jetzt ergreifen sollte.
