Abstract

Fortschritte bei der Verwirklichung der Ziele der Agenda 2030 hängen auch vom erfolgreichen Einsatz digitaler Technologien ab. Im Global Governance Spotlight 4|2019 erläutern Anita Gurumurthy und Nandini Chami von IT for Change die Bedeutung sogenannter digitaler Ökosysteme für inklusive nachhaltige Entwicklung. Um die Chancen der Digitalisierung für das Gemeinwohl nutzen zu können, fordern die Autorinnen u.a. einen verbindlichen internationalen Vertrag zur Datennutzung sowie eine bessere Entwicklungsfinanzierung für digitale öffentliche Güter.
