Mit Helikopter und Telemedizin: Für eine Notfallversorgung der Zukunft

Abstract

Notaufnahmen sind ein im Krankenhausbetrieb häufig wirtschaftlich defizitärer Bereich. Die rund um die Uhr stattfindende stationäre und ambulante Notfallversorgung von Patienten mit akuten Gesundheitsstörungen ist jedoch für die Bevölkerung eine unverzichtbare medizinische Dienstleistung. Damit diese angesichts sich verknappender Ressourcen und des geo-demografischen Wandels weiterhin in einer hohen Qualität flächendeckend gewährleistet werden kann, ist eine vollständige Neuausrichtung im Rahmen der Krankenhausplanung notwendig. Neben der Einführung von bundesweit einheitlichen Erreichbarkeits- und Qualitätsvorgaben sollten vor allem Luftrettung und Telemedizin ausgebaut werden. Diese können insbesondere im ländlichen Raum die qualitative Versorgungssicherheit der Bevölkerung nicht nur erhalten, sondern sogar erhöhen.
