Ursachen der Finanzmarktkrise: Wer hat versagt?

Abstract

Wer ist eigentlich schuld an der Finanzmarktkrise? Teile der Politik und der Medien bieten ebenso einfache wie eingängige Erklärungen an: Schuld seien die Gier der Banker und allgemein ein Versagen des Kapitalismus. Aus dieser Sicht konsequent werden für die Zukunft vor allem umfassendere staatliche Kontrollen gefordert. Diese Argumentation ist jedoch zu schlicht. Aus Erfahrung weiß man, dass monokausale Erklärungen für Krisen oft interessengeleitet sind, z.B. um von eigenen Fehlern abzulenken. Wie sieht es in diesem Fall aus?
