Chancen, Risiken und Grenzen des M-Commerce

Abstract

Bislang waren das Internet und die mobile Kommunikationstechnik weitgehend getrennte Bereiche. Es gibt allerdings immer mehr Ansätze, aus beiden Elementen neue Angebote für Unternehmen und Haushalte zu entwickeln, die zusammenfassend als M-Commerce (mobile commerce) bezeichnet werden. Die Arbeit stellt die grundlegenden technischen Voraussetzungen und potenzielle Anwendungsbereiche vor. Mit den sich abzeichnenden Effizienzsprüngen bei der Datenübertragung wird das Mobiltelefon zunehmend zum 'Alleskönner', über das der Nutzer eine Vielzahl von personen- und ortsbezogene Diensten abrufen kann.
