Lokale Diskurse zur Aufnahme von Geflüchteten: Eine vergleichende Analyse von acht Landkreisen in Deutschland

Abstract

Die zahlreiche Ankunft von asylsuchenden Migrant*innen in Deutschland in den Jahren 2015 und 2016 wurde intensiv durch lokale, regionale und überregionale Medien begleitet. Über die Zeit veränderten sich die Schwerpunkte der Berichterstattung, was den allgemeinen gesellschaftlichen Aushandlungsprozess um die Aufnahme von Geflüchteten und damit einhergehende Herausforderungen reflektiert. Während die zeitliche Entwicklung von überregionalen Diskursen bereits intensiv beforscht wurde, konzentriert sich dieses Working Paper auf die lokale Repräsentation des Themas. In einem regional vergleichenden Setting werden Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede in der Repräsentation von Geflüchteten durch lokale Medien aufgespürt, um damit zusammenhängend lokale und regionale Unterschiede in den gesamtgesellschaftlichen Aushandlungsprozessen der Geflüchtetenaufnahme zu verstehen. Die Studie ist eingebettet in das Forschungsprojekt 'Zukunft für Geflüchtete in ländlichen Regionen Deutschlands', in dem die Autorin verantwortlich für das Teilprojekt 'Rolle der Zivilgesellschaft und Einstellung der Aufnahmegesellschaft' ist.
