Abstract

Anhand der IAB-Betriebspanel 1998 bis 2000 für Ostdeutschland wird die Veränderung der Investitionstätigkeit unter dem Aspekt eines möglichen Wachstumsbeitrages näher beleuchtet. Dazu werden die Investitionsveränderungen, insbesondere 2000 gegenüber 1999, differenziert nach Zweigen und Branchen herausgearbeitet und aufgezeigt, dass sich Investitionssteigerungen zumindest zur Hälfte in High-Tech-Branchen konzentrieren. Darüber hinaus wird auch untersucht, wodurch sich Betriebe mit steigenden Investitionen von denen mit rückläufigen hinsichtlich allgemeiner betriebswirtschaftlicher Leistungsmerkmale unterscheiden.
